Hello and welcome! I'm Andisha. As a Functional Nutritional Therapist, I help others acheive their optimal health through holistic bio individual dietary programs. Nutrition for Nourishment is a practice that coaches clients in search of healing through fostering a healthy relationship with food, body and self.

My journey to FNT

I worked in clinical medicine for over 20 years. Although I respect the power of conventional medicine to treat disease and save lives, I began to think more about the root causes of the chronic health issues we are presented with today. Soon I recognized the powerful relationship between food and my own health and wellness.

My passion for functional nutrition became personal after enduring the emotional rollercoaster of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF). Being blessed with two children through IVF shifted my passion to the root cause of why I was unable to conceive naturally and I was determined to support their health and wellbeing through the power of nutrition. This led me to study functional nutrition through the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) (AU/NZ) and further my learning with functional lab testing through Restorative Wellness Solutions, so that I can help others enjoy optimal health before they require critical care. I am certified through the NTA as a qualified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and have advanced qualifications in functional lab testing through Restorative Wellness Solutions (Mastering the Art & Science of Gastrointestinal Healing & Mastering the Art of Optimising Hormones). I am also a qualified facilitator in Psych-K®, a user-friendly process to change the software of your mind and the printout your life. It is an effective, verifiable and simple process that helps to change self-limiting subconscious beliefs to new self-supporting ones.

My passion is functional nutrition, but I am most proud of my titles of mum and wife. I have a boy and girl, a golden retriever, and a loving, patient and ultra-supportive husband. I choose to be fully invested in these relationships, and I recognize that my ability to achieve these is very dependent on my own mental health, energy and overall health. I want to help other couples experience this optimal wellness so they can focus on the things and people that are most important in their life.

 

 

Nutrition for Nourishment (NFN) officially launched in 2022. The health and wellness world is filled with old, conflicting information and a one-size-fits-all dogma that leaves people feeling lost, confused and frustrated. I’m here to help you solve the confusing world of nutrition by breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand pieces with actionable steps, tips and tricks. I'llguide you to make peace with your body, to empower you to take agency over your health and, ultimately, help you understand how to move from feeling bad to feeling better.

As an FNTP, I focus on the foundations of a nutrient dense whole-food diet, digestive health, blood sugar balancing, fatty acids, minerals, and hydration utilising a bio-individual and holistic approach. I look at the underlying dysfunction and deficiency within our bodies at an organ, cellular and systems level to uncover what is out of balance and then build strategies around this. I do this through multiple means; understanding client symptoms (intently listening), intake forms and relevant lab testing, identifying dysfunctional patterns within your body, and more.

When we can understand what is happening in the body as a whole and why it is happening, we can look at clear nutritional strategies to help the body heal itself. This is based on what you actually need. I will continue to ask why to understand the root cause of any dysfunction so that this time around, you are able to find the answers you have been seeking, get it correct and make it a sustainable lifestyle change.

 

It’s called bio-individuality and it is your superpower.

Wellness starts from within. I’m a firm believer that one of the best things you can do to live a healthier life is to change how you fuel your body with food.

I apply my many years as a critical care nurse together with my functional nutritional knowledge to help you meet your wellness goals through nutrition and holistic healing. I want you to feel your best and have the quality of life you desire and deserve.
